How To Remote Start Your Vehicle

The Remote Start System equipped in some Chevrolet vehicles typically functions the same, whether in a Malibu, Silverado, or Equinox. Depending on the model year of the vehicle, the instructions to use the Remote Start System vary slightly, but for all Chevrolet vehicles, the Remote Start System is extremely easy-to-use. Let's get started!

Step 1:
It is important that you and your keys are within range of your vehicle. To ensure you are within range, try to be within 20 feet of your vehicle to start the process of Remote Starting your vehicle.

Step 2:
Now, you must lock your vehicle. To lock the vehicle, press the lock button on your key fob twice in a row. When you do this, you should hear your vehicle's horn honk once - this means that you have locked the vehicle successfully.

Step 3:
Once you have heard the vehicle's horn honk once, press and hold the Remote Start button on your key fob for 5 seconds. The Remote Start button looks like an arrow pointing in a circle.

Step 4:
You should hear your vehicles engine start running. The vehicle will run for about 10 minutes on its own. Once the 10 minutes are up, the vehicles will shut off.
